 Written on a hug day

Repelled by affections,

For love was a scary affliction,

Anew English ivy grew,

Holding the sturdy oaks in a tight embrace.

Sneakily did the hugs grow,

as your seeds of affections said hello,

Warmer did your embrace weave

its clasp like a quilt held tight whilst

quivering on a snowy winter eve.

Will these embraces get tighter,

as the alloys which meld metals together,

Will they keep us closer,

like venomous snakes in a mating frenzy.
